San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden — features collections of plants from all five Mediterranean climate zones in a two-acre preview of it’s future 150-acre garden. They offer a unique concert series preceded by a docent-led garden tour, kids’ activities, an online tour of plants in bloom, a garden shop and gardening classes.
Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove — Each year, from late October to February, thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch butterflies flock to Pismo Beach and cluster on the limbs of the Eucalyptus trees seeking shelter from the freezing northern winters.
