I had waited all year to celebrate my 30th birthday with my best friends at the Madonna Inn, and finally the day had come! 35mm and medium format cameras in tow, Elena, Chloe, Alyssa and myself made plans to meet at the holy pink castle of kitsch on the night of March 23rd, 2018. 

We started the evening off right with a decadent and delicious dinner at Alex Madonna's Gold Rush Steak House, where a friendly server caught my favorite shot of the night of us in our booth surrounded by all the easter decorations! I especially love the servers in the background, who's hospitality was the backbone for our wonderful meal.

After dinner it was time for a round of champagne in our souvenir Madonna Goblets.

Laughing and exhausted, we retired to our room. We booked the Bridal Falls suite, and inspired by the green color palate of that room, I made sure my hair was dyed to match! Having researched the room I had an idea of what to expect, but WOW! It' so much cooler in person! I can't really explain how awesome it is to eat a piece of birthday cake inside a shower that is actually a waterfall, so readers you may just have to experience that for yourself.

The next morning we drank our coffee in the serene light of the stained glass window in our suite. I'll never forget that special day, spent with some very special friends, at a place that is nothing short of magical.
