Room 216:
Matterhorn
The Matterhorn is perhaps the most familiar mountain in the European Alps. The mountain derives its name from the German words “matte” meaning valley of the meadow and “horn” which means peak. Our rendition of this famous mountain is one of our more popular rooms. Washed in cool tones of snow blue, this room is truly charming with a touch of whimsy. An authentic cow bell, just inside the door, was used by the herdsmen to beckon the cows home each night from the meadows. The stained glass window depicts the grandeur and beauty of the majestic Swiss Alps and the private outdoor balcony provides an airy view of our own Madonna Mountain. The room has a king bed and natural rock shower.
